After the success of Super Star, Arab Idol became a successor. It started in 2012 with Ragheb Alama, Ahlam and Hassan El Shafei as members of the jury. In 2013, Nancy Ajram joined them and in 2014, Wael Kfoury took over Ragheb's place on the panel. After numerous auditions, ten young contestants from the Arab world were selected to compete every week and survive the viewers' votes.
The 2005 Miss Lebanon; Annabella Hilal is the host of the show. Combining beauty and glamour, she was dressed by Antoine el Kareh in episode 3 of the show.
