When the fashion houses of Paris want creative calligraphy to adorn their designs,enchance their stationary and influence their brand,there is one man they turn to.
Nicolas Ouchenir is a self-taught calligrapher who lists Louis Vuitton,Hermes,Christian Dior perfumes,Gucci, Miu Miu ,Chloe and Cartier among his clients.
Fresh from a highly acclaimed exhibition of his work at Colette in Paris,he was in Lebanon for a series of workshops at LAU Byblos Chaghoury Hall from October 8th till 10th.Through this workshop,students learnt how to create a signature representing the brand,the client,its history and its style.
On October 11th a reception hosted by Alice Edde at her eponymous boutique in Byblos Old souk concluded his visit to Lebanon.
The reception was an exciting opportunity to meet the creative behind the calligraphy , see some of his work, and experience the magic of this classical art.
Specially crafted for this one-off event, Alice Edde boutique carried a limited edition of 100 per cases, designer in Paris and handcrafted in Lebanon.
