LMAB Luisa Spagnoli Fashion Show
The new fall - winter collection by Luisa Spagnoli sees our pretty, poised lady finding her chic, sleek couture looks and feminine silhouette in these redefined volumes, a sophisticated balance of sources and modernity. Fabulous day to day style!
The collection carries out research on sartorial traditions and patterns with hints of the fifties, forties and seventies, but revisited in a contemporary taste. A city style that moves with ease from the flared, wide A-line, fifties inspired skirts to the seventies palazzo pants, having fun with fashion in a game of references to iconic figures starting with Grace Kelly via Twiggy and on to Farrah Fawcett. Hints suggest a sixties atmosphere in the wool cloth jackets with couture shapes: short boxy lines in bouclé fabrics take new vibes with metallic effects and sparkling sequins threads.
Sartorial clothes to wear without a diktat, de-dramatized with boyfriend jeans embroidered in rock-chic stones, or pants in the new calf-skimming length. Dresses design the silhouette, accentuate the waist and the elegant allure. The 3/4 length sleeves play up feminine wrists. Outwear clothes - coats, fur coats and quilted jackets - show geometrical A and egg cuts. Accurate manufacturing and fabric research make quilted jackets more and more precious, showing shiny satins with romantic flower prints.
Fur coats in a graduate shading of greys, plum and beige hues can be worn in many different occasions: a casual mink vest by day, a couture taste three quarters length, egg lined coat, a short fur trapeze - line jacket in the evening. Soft, warm fabrics emphasize these comfortable wrap -around volumes.
Colours highlight a soft mood with delicate, subtle nuances, from powder pink to aqua, to grey and beige undertones. Plums reigns supreme for fall and winter season, matching with blues and greens, reaching a brighter palette of mustard yellows and indigo. Tartan prints come back taking the leading role in waist flared sheath dresses, slim coats, pants, knit jackets and "good girl" kilt skirts.
Knitwear has a fil rouge in the past with minimalist lines for coats and short box shaped jackets with 3/4 length sleeves that reappear like coming out of a Luisa Spagnoli sixties catalog. Colorful angora sweaters, homage to the brand heritage, have mini shapes embellished with embroidered stones. Over - volume capes, a must in winter, are worn over jackets or on layered sweaters, playing with personal overlaying.
The chromatic palette for roll neck pullovers, jackets and little knit dresses plays with pale, light hues: powder pink, dusty light blue, pastel green and mauve. The winning combination is optic white mixed with soft, bicolored tones: white with grey, camel and peach, shown in double effects too.
Cocktail is more than ever jeweled, with geometric stone decorations that ornate the jackets and svelte sheath dresses in candy shades. Evening sparks with sequins and gold and silver glowing on rich lace dresses, perfect for "red carpet" glamour looks.
Little dresses with a "college girl" tone, white collars, pussy-cat bows and chiffon sleeves bring back an upstanding - chic appearance that young girls will adore. See the embroidered roses on lace dresses for "jeunes filles en fleurs", and then the floral motifs reappear on damask and quilted fabrics for jackets and sheath dresses paying a tribute to the boom years.
A total look is accomplished with accessories. All - important bijoux, printed silk scarves and colorful fur wraps express the feminine charme. Hats have been a long time must, in all their styles, from the floppy to the felt large brimmed ones, from fedoras to fur hats to cloches. The quintessential lady will not do without them. The day bag is essential: the leather, carry-all shopping bag, the new bauletto with short and shoulder straps and the maxi pochette, the new quilted shopping bag and the bouclé fabric flapped one. In the evening just irresistible little clutches, like precious treasure chests, sparkling like jewels in the night.
