It's time to get Intimate with Brazil!

The Embassy of Brazil in Beirut and Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center (Centre Culturel Brésil-Liban) are joining hands to take you on a journey to discover Brazil personally through a laid back gathering around merging cultures and drinks. 
The event is dedicated to strengthen the long time relation and friendship between the two cultures and to keep the intimacy going

LIVE PERFOMANCES

8:30pm- 9:30pm: Xangô with special guest Tania Saleh
Based in Lebanon, Xango (pronounced Shangoh) is a band covering Afro-Brazilian music with a twist. Xango founders Adel Minkara, classical and jazz guitarist, Naima Yazbek, Brazilian/Lebanese singer and performer, Elie Chemaly, groove master in bass, Fouad Afra a drums symbol in the region.

9:30pm - 10pm: Bloco Rubra Rosa
Brazilian percussion band covering axé music, samba and samba reggae. Composed mainly by females, Brazilian and Lebanese, the band is an upbeat and very representative of Brazilian Carnaval Festival. A dancer will perform live samba.

Special Guest appearance by Tania Saleh for an exclusive Bossa Nova performance.

THE WORKSHOPS
7:30pm - 8pm: (2nd floor) Brazilian dance workshop - a mix of the main rhythms of Brazil such as samba, lambada, axé and forró by Passos Alegres. 
8pm - 8:30pm: (2nd floor) Capoeira workshop - the Brazilian martial art by Filhos De Bimba Escola de Capoeira Lebanon
6pm - 6:30pm: (1st floor) Portuguese bases crash course - group A
7pm- 7:30pm: (1st floor) Portuguese bases crash course - group B
8pm- on / each 1hour: Caipirinha do it yourself 

Caipirinha Do it yourself and tutoring all night long 

THE FOOD WORKSHOP AND CASUAL PRIVATE DINNER: 6:30pm- 7:30pm: Exclusive and private food workshop with Brazilian chef Lázaro dos Santos.
Workshop, followed by dinner, Caipirinha and dessert for $30
