Wadi al Aswad - Qobayet

Dear nature lovers,

Wadi Al aswad is a valley located between qobayet, akkar and Hermel. It is dense in trees and rich in diversity.
We will hike together in a level 5 hike about 13 kms long. There will be a minor ascents and you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery all along the track. We will see a diverse variety of trees such as iron oak, cedars, fir, juniper, oak, pine...
Moreover our guide will explain for us the several diversity of plants and trees that will be surrounded by us.

The trail is mostly downhill and flat. It will start from sheer sanam. This cliff was where nabukhaznasar, the king of the canaanite city, Babylon (605 BC), used to rest on his way to akra.
From there we will go to Wadi Al Aswad.
The trail, amidst dense forests, greenery and great views, leads to kahf beit wehbe, jouret nemre, besten lawz, zaboude (we will see there sarcophagus and old bridges), 2 springs(banat and hamadeh springs) and than to ras el atelbe.
Of course a small lunch stop will take place between these magnificent trees.

Elevation 1600- 1300 - 900m

Required materials: hiking boots, backpack, hat, 2L of water, light jack, healthy snacks.

Fees: 35000 LBP (including transportation, guidance, 5 mins warming up, stretching, but does not include medical insurance)
