A group of peddlers gathered in Mar Mikhael and wandered in neighborhood streets on June 13. They introduced a peculiar kindof merchandisethat surprised drivers stuck inFriday afternoon traffic. They proposed IDs, driver’s licenses, Official Diplomas, electricity counters and other exciting administrative productsatcheap prices. You should have seen the confusion on thedrivers’ faces, unaware that they fell for a prank organized by Sakker El Dekkene. This fresh NGO set out earlier last month on a venture to fight corruption in Lebanese society and public administrations. Sakker El Dekkene engages in creative ventures to promote a culture of integrity and accountability in Lebanon.
