Q:Your fame started from the reality show of "star academy" what was the
experience like? Any feedback?
A: yes i gained Fame from star academy but not the needed fame to establish my singing career, i learned there how to kill the fear of being on stage, how to interact with the crowed, and of course i gained the exposure but the hard part was after star academy, and that's why we notice not many students from the academy stay in the field after it's done.
Q: What attracted you to this show/event (dancing with the stars)?
A: well dancing is in my blood :) i dance hip hop in all my music videos, when they called me i thought why not to show that singers can dance in lebanon in an international level. here i want to thank the choreographer of most of my music videos Charles Makriss, he gave me a lot of techniques.and i opened an arts school in my home town tyre where we teach music and dancing and we have 16 teachers teaching daily. (that's where everyone says she has a dancing school, well it's an arts school and i'm the CEO and owner and i teach piano and hip hop)
Q: What are your thoughts on the show's new format?
A: well i guess MTV and Iprod knows very well how to create the right arabic format to fit the arab audience. sometimes we have some issues with the music, but we know it's right for the arab ears :)
Q: How do you feel about working with Aslak Amtrup?
A: Aslak is pro:) Blonde :) and handsome, all this is a plus for our team to win :) hehehehe
Q: Can you tell us more about your music?
A: mmmm my music i think as walid says till now has no category in the arab world. it's like if you are listening to an english song but with arabic lyrics.but the type in the the states would be pop - Dance
Q: How did you get started performing? Did you go to school for dance?
A: i learned dancing from friends, went to some classes but got bored :) . but my major is Musical Education graduated with gpa A+ and i have 2 piano diplomas.
Q: We know that you compete in dance competitions worldwide; can you
talk about some of your experiences in your dancing competitions?
A: it's not a competition more than a show. we created a group me and Fady al halabi called wheels on fire and did a dance with a wheel chair. the idea is to show that people are not disabled they r simply able in different ways. that was a dance with a message and every one welcomed and offered us the stage world wide to show it.
Q: You also have your own dance school, how many students do you have so far? How many classes of dance? What kind of dance?
A: It's an arts school, we teach: piano, guitar, singing, solfege, musical education for kids, yoga, karate, football, hip hop, ballets and belly dancing. as well as languages like english and russian. and we have a gym and zumba classes. now the school has 400 Students willing to reach the one thousand :)
Q: You have shot a commercial for Pepsi in the past. Any new offers coming
up from advertisers?
A: we have many offers from make up to sports wear. but walid is putting everything on hold until we finish shooting dancing with the stars
Q: You have participated and performed with Fadi Al Halabi in wheel chair
dance shows and are known as the ambassadors of Joy and Hope. Can
you tell us some more about this..
A: guess i already answered :) but i can tell you that we are working on a music video where fady will have a role of dancing in it for one of my new songs. and we have 2 music videos already shot and finished to be aired on tv very soon.
