House of Mouneh celebrated its one-year anniversary with a brunch Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at Zahr al-Laymoun in Dbayeh - the restaurant where it all started. House of Mouneh is a project that falls under the umbrella of Solace Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Carol Malouf that aims to aid the burgeoning number of refugees in Lebanon. Yet House of Mouneh is more encompassing than just that; it intends to build and rebuild communities by empowering women, "the key to a healthy and thriving society."
People from civil society, US embassy and social activists attended the House of Mouneh event and celebrated its success through a delightful brunch made up of the homemade Mouneh products!
