Aren't we all? "YOU" aNd "I" unique? Aka. The same?
Most of the time, we don't find the time to sit and analyze ourselves, because 1) we're too busy analyzing others 2) we don't want to be disappointed by who we really are. I'm about to attack your ego as much as I attacked mine, so put your arrogance aside and hear me out.
No hun, you are not unique, there's nothing any different about you that is impossible to be found with someone else, looks and brains- wise. Do you know that already? Of course you don't! Sure, we perceive ourselves as unique, that's the self defense of our own self-esteem!
"How dare you compare me to x, there's no one like me, I'm not even a letter, I'm a 4"
(Take your time...Got it? Good.)
I am that and I am this, I do that and I do this, I want that and I want this.... Well, so does everybody else pumpkins.
I, I, I, I, AY headache! Forget the "I"s for a second and open your EYES to what I'm about to highlight.
I'm so very sorry to disappoint you, but no, you are not the center of the universe, nor does the world revolve around your very flat a*... therefore, NO, you don't get to boss around like a crownless king. You are made of body and soul and this combination is but magical since most of the time, you are able to epitomize, through actions, what's within your soul. Why would you choose to be an asshole most of the time, I wonder?
Learn to respect people, people! Taste your words before you spit them out, put yourself in the other persons' shoe and be aware of how much hurt you might be causing them. Who are you to point fingers and attack others? Turn that finger on yourself, maybe you will realize how pathetic you are. Don't take advantage of a weak person just because you consume extra power in a field where he does not! Those whose only concern is to destroy others lack ambition. Find a better hobby to do, draw a tree, perhaps a sea... maybe sink in it...
I'm not trying to defend those are not able to defend themselves. I'm trying to offend those who can help weak people enjoy their stay on planet earth. Did I get to you? We're not going stay here forever, hell awaits you. Anxiously.
I paid for my dues! I've been mean, heartless and emotionless; I've hurt good people... great people. What I'm trying to say is that no one is born a saint, but when you realize where you went wrong and apologize to yourself, and others, you get a better understanding of the world. It annoys me, physically and mentally to watch how everyone's life is being controlled, guided and already signed and approved upon! Human's right? Freedom of speech? ...Of being? Sounds familiar?
Don't be too offended when you are referred to as typical when you allow yourself to let others control and write your life's script for you. Dependent = typical; safe = typical;
Step of your comfort zone! Explore what others didn't explore yet. Visit undiscovered countries rather than the most visited one. Pick a style of your own. Talk to yourself. Nourish your brain with arts. Be a better person. Be proud of what you have accomplished.
No one said that it's an insult to share some else's beliefs and opinions, nor is it a crime that you and your neighbor happen to like the same band, and no, it's not unhealthy to share the same dream with someone else. You are a human being, and so is everybody else. Unless you are born with a horse's tail (which would be awesome) I don't get why you would want to be from outer space. My brain isn't made of strawberries, nor is yours made of bananas (unless you're a pervert). Hence, what I can do, you can also do.
We are all going through the same path, bumping into different rocks and stones, but heading towards that same light.
All the same, now that you have absorbed that you and your fellow human being are the same, comes the challenge to be different. And that's the key word. Different. Not unique but different.
I choose to be different not because I'm so arrogant that I don't want to be like anyone else, but because why be the same if you can be someone else. Be the good different. Be humble, there's nothing like it, believe me. Be kind, forgive all the time, listen, share, smile, laugh, hug, kiss, you'll adore yourself.
I hope you come to that day, where you and my kiddo Darwin forget where you came from and start to act more like a human. Namaste.
