5 Of The Weirdest Things You Can Buy In China

    30 november 2016

It’s no secret that Chinese culture is much different from the culture that we are used to. When you combine this with their massive population, you find some weird items for sale throughout the country.

Whether said items sold at a Chinese Walmart, online, or in vending machines, these weird things are probably going to blow your mind.

    1. White People

Yes you read that right – White people. OK – so you can’t buy white people, but you can rent them.

Most commonly done by Chinese businessmen who will rent white actors to stand beside them at important business events.

Renting white people makes the land seem more expensive and classier than it really is.

    2. Pig Faces

Don’t worry! If you don’t like the faces, you can get their feet instead.

There’s not much that Chinese people won’t eat. You can buy almost any part of a pig, including its face, at most Chinese Wal-Marts. However, this is terrifying and looks more like something we would find in a Halloween store. If you don’t want the face, they also sell pig hearts, and feet on a block of ice.

    3. A Plastic Boyfriend

    Not your average blow-up doll…

For those lonely single women in China, there is a solution. Yes, this is a doll…

They have different “age ranges” of models that you can choose from, from creepy Ken Doll to Burt Reynolds-esque boyfriends you can order online.

Bonus: he won’t leave the toilet seat up.

    4. Merchandise Featuring Barack Obama and Kim Jong-un Hugging.

    The Bromance of the century!

For a long time now, Barack Obama merchandise has been popular in China. However, this image of Obama and Kim Jong-un hugging on T-shirts and iPhone covers has become increasingly popular.

    5. Black Chickens

These are a breed of chickens known as Silkie chickens. They have fluffy feathers and black skin and bones. Their meat is considered a gourmet food.

Silkie meat is considered gourmet in China. This type of chicken is cooked into a broth and is then fed to mothers that have just given birth.

    Um. Okaaaay!
