Deir El Kalaa is a monastery standing on a cliff at 800 meters above sea level.
A real amalgam of ruins, this site bears the marks of the third largest Roman temple in Lebanon after the Baalbek and Niha temples-dating back to the first century A.D-and the visible prints of a Byzantine residential-insudtrial complex.
