The Garden Show opened on Tuesday, May 27th for 5 days of cheerfulness and good mood, an event long awaited by the show's amateurs. The opening was attended by the President of the Municipal Council of Beirut, Dr. Bilal Hamad and its members, as well as many ambassadorsand social figures.
The moment that the flower garland was cut and the Garden Show officially opened, visitors flew in to discover a greener, more flowery show than ever before,bustling with life and activity.
The annual show was held this year under the theme "jounayne," which means both garden and paradise in Arabic; exhibitors, as usual, went out of their way to present a variety of stands, creatively displayed for the public to find everything needed to plant, build and decorate their exterior and recreate their ownparadise.
And just like every year, visitors can enjoy the traditional spaces of garden art, the art of living in the garden, the regular children's corner and the food court."The big novelty this year is the space dedicated to ecotourism, with more than 60 exhibitors offering packages to discover Lebanon differently, off the beatentourist track," noted Mrs. Joumana Salame, co-organizer of the exhibition and manager of Hospitality Services.
Mrs. Myriam Shuman, co-organizer of the show invited garden enthusiasts to participate in gardening and bouquet art workshops, animated by three experts,Kinda Bitar, Marc El Beyrouthy and Imad Haddad, in addition to their guests.
Another highly anticipated workshop is organized by the magazine Taste & Flavors, where well-known Lebanese public figures will offer cooking demonstrations while bartenders offer happy hours later in the day.
And that's not all! The 11th edition of the show still holds in store many surprises to over 24,000 visitors expected this year.
