The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) and Team Lebanon, in collaboration with the Lebanese Red Cross, held a press Conference that marked the launch of USEK and Team Lebanon Expedition to Oceania 2013.
Team Lebanon is the first All -Lebanese Team of mountaineers on the quest to climb and raise the Lebanese Flag on top the "Seven Summits" of the world (the highest mountain of each continent).
While achieving this goal, one summit at a time, Team Lebanon are actively raising awareness about the role of the Lebanese Red Cross, rallying hearts and minds about the organization and fundraising to support their activities. So far they managed to raise over 20,000$ in donations for the Lebanese Red Cross.Team Lebanon is now getting ready for their next mountaineering expedition this coming October 2013, that will take the team to the summit of the highest mountain in Australia, Mt. Koziusko and the highest and the highest mountain in Oceania the Carstensz Pyramid.
