DiaLeb Diabetes Day 2017 at AUB

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day on November 14, 2017, and as a part of the recently launched National Diabetes Campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health(MOPH), DiaLeb team was at the American University of Beirut (AUB) celebrating Diabetes awareness. At the booth, DiaLeb team members and AUB nutrition students performed glucose testing, courtesy of One Touch. General tips on how to lead a healthy lifestyle through healthy, balanced eating and physical activity were given to students aiming at the strengthening of their capacity to prevent type 2 diabetes in healthy individuals and self-management education and information required to achieve optimal diabetes outcomes in those affected. In addition, healthy snacks and educational materials were distributed to students.
