5th Scientific Conference of SCAD

The 5th Scientific Conference of the Saudi Charitable Association of Diabetes took place on November 13-14, 2019 at Al Madina - Saudi Arabia. Among the speakers were doctors from different specialties including endocrinology, nutrition, health and sports who talked about recent updates on diabetes, ways of educating the public, importance of sports activities and how to manage sport with diabetes. Dr. Jackie Maalouf, founder/president of the National Diabetes Organization - DiaLeb gave a presentation entitled "Diabetes Awareness through Education in Lebanon". She emphasized the importance of education for the prevention and control of diabetes and discussed the types of awareness programs and ways of diabetes education in Lebanon and the efficiency of these programs. She then received an appreciation award from His Royal Highness Prince Faysal Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz.


The conference was attended by professionals in the field and students and included interactive discussions about recent diabetes studies and updates.
