Vin Diesel was met by photographers when he stepped out shirtless on a balcony in Miami Beach, Florida on Tuesday.

While the father-of-three is many times known for his super-fit physique, some fans might be surprised to see that Diesel was a bit on the softer side while vacationing in the Sunshine State.

It's still not known if the 48-year-old actor's body transformation is for an upcoming film role, or if he's just relaxing more during his downtime betweenFast and Furious films.

That being said, he did recently admit to ET that he didn't go into acting to become an action star. Perhaps now he's looking to expand his star power?

"I never started out wanting to be an action star," Diesel said. "I started acting when I was seven, so I grew up in the theater community. When I wasn't getting any work I started bouncing at nightclubs. Ten years of bouncing at night clubs in New York gives you something."

The new shirtless pics are also surprising given that Diesel's muscles were in full force in a recent issue of Men's Fitness magazine.
