This is the heartwarming moment that a young boy orphaned by a suicide bombing in Lebanon met his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo .

Haidar lost both his parents last month when a suicide bomber detonated a device in the Bourj el Barajneh suburb of Beirut, the Lebanese capital and his plight was brought to the club's attention by a local reporter, Rana Harbi.

She was heartbroken by the football-mad youngster's story and got in touch with the club in the vain hope that the youngster could meet his hero.

To her surprise, the Spanish giants got in touch with her and made arrangements for the recovering Haidar to meet the Portuguese superstar.

And now Haidar's dream has come true as he was met by Real chief Florentino Perez at the Santiago Bernabeu, who introduced the three-year-old to his hero.

Ronaldo gave his young fan a hug, as Haidar was overcome by emotion as he met his idol.
