Lebanese starlet Myriam Fares pulls all the stops to shine and remain the "Queen of Stage" in the Arab world and internationally.
So when Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a Rami Kadi floral embroidered gown in Cannes this month (May 17), the singer was quick to announce that not only did she wear it best, but she wore it first as well!
The 33-year-old singer set the record straight in an interview with UAE tabloid The National.
“I have no problem with Aishwarya wearing the dress because she wore it after me.
“I would like to think that Aishwarya saw me wearing it and liked what she saw and wanted to wear it," said an amused Myriam.
Myriam, who is close friends with Kadi and is often seen wearing his designs, sported his floral creation at a private wedding performance in Dubai, according to a photo shared on her official Instagram account on May 8.
"Everybody knows that I kick-started the career of the designer of that dress, Rami. I met him when he first came out of college and I felt he had a lot of talent and I wanted to help him." [albawaba]
