Conspiracy theorists often claim Hitler survived the end of World War 2 - despite him officially being recorded dead by the Allies. The revelation comes as researchers around the world trawl through the newly declassified JFK files - hoping to shed some light on his assassination in Dallas in 1963.
Marked "secret", the memo was wired from the head of CIA's bureau in Carcas, Venezuela, on October 3, 1955. The bombshell document was sent to the head of spy agency's Western Hemisphere Division, who wold have been Joseph Cadwell King. King is believed to advocated the assassinations of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, and was also instrumental in overthrowing Brazilian president Joao Goulart in 1964. Codenamed agent Cimelody-3 reports a former member of Hitler's brutal secret police the SS claimed Hitler "is still alive".
