One of our most recent trips was unlike any other we had taken before. We experienced China for the first time with Huawei. Our itinerary included a trip to the Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen, where we got the opportunity to meet the Huawei Consumer Business Group's top management. This group provides a range of products, including Mate-series for the "Ultimate Technology"; the P-series for the "Ultimate Fashion"; the nova-series for the "Ultimate Value", and the Y-series for the "Ultimate Accessibility." We were in awe with the wearables, mobile phones, laptops, and tablets.
A trip to China's Huawei store in Shenzhen also gave us a pretty good understanding of Huawei's brilliant technology. Briefs about production facilities - where P20 Pros are produced every 28 seconds, R&D, and the entire engineering process were not spared as we took a detailed deep dive into everything there is to learn about this state-of-the-art smartphone. The wonderful team also gave us a glimpse into the future of Huawei. Business Consumer Global Marketing Manager, M. Wong, gave us the lowdown on the Huawei strategy and various phone lines; while M. Li gave us the behind the scenes scoop on Huawei's partnership with Leica and how challenging it has been for both brands. We got a first look at the new nova3i and nova3 new phones that are more advanced than we imagined.
We were also lucky enough to take a trip to Shanghai where we visited the Research and Development premises. The highlight of the trip was without a doubt, being exposed to rich Chinese culture. Everything from the food and the attractions, to the locals and the cities were breath-taking. Thanks to an early invitation, we enjoyed a generous brunch at the top of a TV Tower in Shanghai, but definitely not at the expense of fun attractions. We eventually took an exciting trip to Disneyland, Shanghai, an amusement park that opened its doors to the public in 2016. We couldn't complete the trip to this lovely city without wining and dining. We tried some of the best thought of dishes at Mercato, a 3- Star Michelin restaurant in Shanghai.
We sincerely thank Huawei for the memorable experience and we look forward to visiting again soon.
