    HORECA 2013 celebrates its 20th anniversary

    Under the patronage of His Excellency, Lebanon's Minister for Tourism, Mr. Fady Abboud and in the presence of distinguished personalities, union presidents, professional associations, partners and exhibitors, as well as ambassadors and media representatives, HORECA, the hospitality trade fair, opened its doors on Tuesday, April 9.

    During the opening ceremony, Mr. Nouhad Dammous, co-founder of Hospitality Services, the organizer of HORECA, was awarded the Medal of the National Order of the Cedar, rank of Knight for his lifetime dedication to the advancing the hospitality sector in Lebanon through education.

     

     

    During the opening ceremony, Mr. Mohamad Choucair, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture awarded Mrs. Joumana Damous Salamé, HORECA Executive Director, a trophy in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the Lebanese hospitality industry.

     

     

    In her turn, Salamé also highlighted a major event that will take place at HORECA this year: The Lebanese Food Industries Awareness Day under the theme of "Export Obstacles Solutions" by the Syndicate of Lebanese Food Industries in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Trade and Unite Agency for International Development (UNIDO).

    This year HORECA celebrates its 20th anniversary with twenty decades of innovation in the hospitality and food industry fields! In these 20 years, the trade show has gained an international reputation.

     

    Since its inception HORECA's goal was to become the annual meeting place for industry professionals highlighting creativity and rewarding excellence through competitions, experts, showcases and chefs from around the world, in addition to major conferences organized by the syndication and its key players.

    An event not to be missed for all professionals in the hospitality and food industries HORECA is primarily a platform for business and trade.

     

    12,000 professional visitors are expected to attend HORECA 2013 to discover the innovative and original solutions being exhibited by more than 385 equipment, product and service brands for the hospitality and food industries.
