Seminar gathers students with experts on Digital Technology and Future Trends
World's leading sanitary fittings manufacturer GROHE, today hosted the GROHE Design Series Seminar, bringing togehter Fine Arts students from top universities in Lebanon with industry experts. The seminar focused on Digital Technology and Future Trends - part of the GROHE design philosophy - while inviting dialogue and exchange between the two groups.
Students from Universite de Balamand Academie Libanaise Des Beaux- Arts (ALBA), American University of Technology (AUT), Lebanese University Faculty of Fine Arts, Branch I & Branch II (LU) and Universite Saint Esprit Kaslik(USEK), gathered to exchange ideas with GROHE Middle East and Africa, along with the special guest speakers: Elie Gebrayel, CEO of Erga Group Sal; Georges Chehwane, Chairman of Plus Properties; and Elie Pascal Ibrahim, Chairman of Barbanel Middle East.
The Seminar is part of the GROHE Design Series, a program launched by GROHE in 2012 to encourage, support, and reward successful creative works by young university students in the field of design. Now introduced in Turkey for 2013, the program is designed to provide students with opportunities to challenge and maximize their individual talents while promoting lifelong learning.
Speaking during the meeting, Simon G. Shaya, GM and President, GROHE East Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa, stressed on GROHE's commitment to encourage and support young design professionals: "Following the success of last year's module, the GROHE Design Series is now a regional program with 5 design hubs: Lebanon, Turkey, UAE, Morocco and South Africa. Our design program has allowed us a great chance to work with future designers where we can further understand their way of thinking and support the future think-tanks of the region".
