    17 june 2013

The much awaited exhibition set up by Events Production in collaboration with Solidere and BLOM Bank for the Syrian Artist, Hammoud Chantout, will be officially inaugurated during a cocktail reception at the Venue Hall in Beirut Souks on Wednesday the 19th of June 2013 and is expected to attract more than 2,000 visitors among which include socialites, art enthusiasts and media VIPs.

Throughout the exhibition's period, besides more than one hundred of the finest masterpieces displayed, signed by Chantout, the visitors will enjoy watching the artist painting live on canvas. In recent years, Chantout, has taken increasing interest in creating paintings on various surfaces and textures such as doors, old wood, and murals apart from the typical canvases transforming classical pieces into abstract and visually appealing elements. His latest works reflect refined craftsmanship thanks to his luxurious yet innovative touches. Chantout's love for experimentation and his concerns for professional esthetics are clearly embodied in his creations as he has focused on the details and the little distinctive twists that have become his signature trademark.  His latest painting was set for auction at Christie's Dubai in 2012.

Since 1985, Chantout has taken part in numerous solo and collective art exhibitions in the Arab countries and abroad. He has also received many awards, and his works have taken part in private and official collections.

The Chantout art exhibition at The Venue, also includes the exceptional presence of the sculptor Oruba Deeb, who will be displaying some of her most finest work.  The exhibition runs till June 30th everyday from 4 till 10 PM and is expected to attract some 5000 interested visitors and art connoisseurs.
