    Rotana Hotels Social Activities

    Within its framework of social and humanitarian activities, Rotana Hotels continue on instigating unique initiatives, charitable deeds, and ecofriendly practices to help the Lebanese society and its environment.

     

    On October 29, the Arjaan by Rotana staff invited guests and colleagues for a morning walk on the Raouché Boulevard wearing blue T-shirts with the Arjaan logo with the hopes to commit to this weekly activity and enjoy Beirut, the sea breeze, and the sun. The walk was followed by a healthy breakfast and a selection of oat cookies on the Bella Vita Café terrace.

     

    On November 9, Rotana Hotels participated in the annual marathon organized by the Beirut Marathon Association in support to ABAAD, the resource center for gender equality, and to fight against the early marriage of young girls. The Rotana Hotels staff carried a banner in support of the cause and to promote sustainable social and economic development.

     

    On November 10, a yoga session was held at Gefinor Rotana to create awareness among colleagues and guests and encourage them to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Yoga classes will be in session every Monday at 6:00 pm with the trainer Samer Tutunji who is committed to yoga practice for more than 12 years now.

     

    On November 21st, for the International Children's Day, the Raouché Arjaan by Rotana's team held a special Children's day event at the hotel ballroom. The day was spent in total bliss where kids from L'école des Soeurs de la Charité: Besançon played all kinds of games, had fun with the animation team and partook in a face painting session. Furthermore, and to draw a smile on all the children's faces a special buffet made of candies was prepared by the chefs and gifts were distributed at departure.

     

    For the same occasion, on November 25, the Gefinor Rotana Team spent the day with 20 kids from the Spring of Life (SOL) at the Planet Discovery in Beirut Souks, the only permanent children's science museum in Lebanon. Lunch boxes were prepared for the kids to enjoy and during the day each kid was able to plant their own shrubs to take home and cultivate.

     

    Commenting on these initiatives, Joseph Coubat, Area Vice President of Amman, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar and General Manager of City Centre Rotana, said that, "These activities highlight Rotana's adherence to its values ​​and its goals through not only social responsibility, but also through our commitment to establish long-term bonds and our permanent pursuit to find creative and innovative ways to help the community and our society."
